Bock Leong Lee was born on September 18th, 1905 in Taishan, Guangdong, China to his father whose surname was Lee and his mother whose maiden name was Shee. Bock Leong Lee arrived in the United States from China on May 4th, 1922. Bock Leong Lee had enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve on January 15th, 1942 and was discharged on October 4th, 1945. During his time in the U.S. Navy Reserve, he served in World War II as the rank of “Cook 1” according to the U.S. Navy Muster Rolls.

Bock Leong Lee was discharged on October 4th, 1945 from the U.S. Navy Reserve. He lived in Los Angeles, California with his wife Chiew H. Lee. Bock Leong Lee was of Protestant or Christian faith.

On January 30th, 1956, Bock Leong Lee passed away at the age of 50 in a local hospital. He was shortly buried after his death on February 3rd, 1956. He is currently buried at the Los Angeles National Cemetery in Los Angeles, California, which is located on 950 South Sepulveda Boulevard.
