Charles Dixon, Jr. was born on September 30, 1955, in Faison, North Carolina.  He was the oldest of 12 children.  Although he enjoyed all sports, he played baseball in high school.  After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  During his tenure in the Navy, he traveled to the Philippines, Taiwan, Hawaii, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and ending his service in the Bay Area, California.  

He was a jack of all trades; however, he excelled as an Auto Mechanic who worked closely with his father in the family business.  His career came full circle, as he retired from the Veterans hospital in 2022. 

Charles treasured his children and was happy to see them fulfilling their dreams.  His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his children - Aneice Dixon, Darius Harper, Markus & Stephanie Dixon and his beloved grandson, Kendrick Yamat Dixon, who he affectionately referred to as his carbon copy, and his siblings, extended family members and friends.
