Chee Hom was born on November 13th, 1912, in Hoiping, China. He immigrated to the United States on November 2nd, 1930 at the age of 18. Prior to his service, he completed 1 year of high school and worked as a cook. He lived in Los Angeles, California, in 1935, but moved to Riverside, California by 1940 and continued working as a cook.
Chee Hom enlisted in the Army Air Forces on December 27th, 1943 and served in World War II. He was assigned to the 4196th Army Air Forces Base Unit and rose to the rank of Sergeant. Chee Hom passed away in 1959.
