Chris Timothy Hicks was born in the swamp lands outside of Tampa, Fl. He loved his home state  almost as much as he loved his Momma. He loved her more than "peter loved the lord." He frequently talked about his entire family. Joining the military at 17 and was sent almost directly to war. After his time in the service he would go on to be a 35 plus year Journeyman Lineman. He then met the love of his life Danna after a scorching hot summer in 2005 after Katrina brought him directly to her. Traveling back and forth across the country he went. The family that would be created from this was a hard loving, and loyal. His two daughters and four grandchildren kept him smiling when not driving him crazy. The depths of this man's soul was one in a million. I do not expect ever to meet such a soul again. Timbo was full of life and did not slow down. The knowledge that he kept not only about Line -Life but about lessons that many people never learn. To be kind to everyone no matter the circumstances. He would give anyone the shirt off his back or his last dollar. The bigger picture was always clear. We are not here for a long time. BE KIND. ALWAYS. Smile when you can!!!

Timbo, even guarding the gates,  you hold many memories that will stay alive in hearts everywhere. Amazing dad, grandpa and other half to mom. I thank God with every thought of you, honored with your memories.  

Dear Dad, I miss you more than words can say... You really had a heart of gold. You are our hero. You showed us love when we were less than lovable. Traveling across the country and back with you was such an interesting and life changing experience. True to your nature you fought like hell those last months. We tried everything to bring you back. I even bought a Fl scented candle trying to bring you back with the scents of orange blossoms. The last time I saw you I hugged you and said I love you. You looked me in the eye and said I love you too! The memories that you have made with us will last forever. You will always be my Dad. We carry you with us.
