George Casey is my cousin. There are six of us cousins from our three sets of parents. George was closest to me in age. Although we grew up in separate households most of our lives there were many times, we were together for long periods of time. As small children our families lived together with our grandparents. As we grew older our families got their own homes either close to each other or at least close enough for visits. George and I spent many summers together as kids playing in the country and hanging out at our grandparent's home or his moms. George taught me to swim, shoot a rifle and many other things. As we grew older and became independent, I would travel to Calistoga from San Francisco and visit with him and his mom Lottie. We enjoyed going to the fair, driving his mom's car and whatever we could do to entertain ourselves. I sometimes would visit George and Danita in their Napa home or at Danita's parents' home, later I visited them in their Lake County home. As we grew older George joined the military and traveled. I enjoyed visiting him and his family in Hawaii and Michigan. I was intrigued by his stories of living in Colorado and the different jobs he had. George served his country and loved being in the military. We all miss George and think of him often.  Auveterzein George
