On the morning of Thursday,  16 November 2023, Ian Jacob Gunderson, left us to be with our Lord.  He was born to Daniel Gunderson and Dawn Wagaman on 19 August 1996 in Petaluma,  California.   Ian was a dedicated Aviation Structural Mechanic First Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy, safeguarding national interests and promoting peace across the seas. He was an auto enthusiast who enjoyed modifying his own cars and meeting others who shared his passion.  Having lived overseas and throughout the southwest, Ian maintained many of his friendships through online gaming.  He liked collecting sneakers and would never turn down an opportunity to enjoy good food.  Ian gave the greatest of gifts upon his death, donating his organs so others may live.  Ian is survived by his grandparents Byron Wood and Richard and Clara Gunderson,  his parents, his stepfather Stan Wagaman and his stepmother Julie Gunderson. He also leaves behind his sister Sonja (Josh) Tam and brothers Shane (Leah) Gunderson and Aidan Gunderson.  He is also survived by his three stepsister s Hannah,  Melissa and Danielle and stepbrother Colton as well as his four nephews Makai, Carson, Liam and Grayson.   Ian will be greatly missed by many friends and family.   Fair winds and following seas Ian Jacob, we love you.
