Jinsu Lee was born on March 1st, 1977 in Chatsworth, California. He enlisted in the Army on August 5th, 2009 and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment (Wolfhounds), 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. Within his unit, he served as a supply specialist. He deployed overseas and was stationed in Afghanistan. Jinsu was killed in action on August 5th, 2011, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan when he was 34 years old. He held the rank of Army Specialist Spc. For his dedication and service to the U.S., he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and Combat Action Badge. He was posthumously awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Service Medal with Star, the Army Good Conduct Medal, and the Army Overseas Service Ribbon.
