Seaman John H. James (Civil War)is a Notable burial at https://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/dayton.asp. He received the Medal of Honor while serving in the U.S. Navy for actions on board the U.S.S. Richmond during the Battle of Mobile Bay, Alabama, August 5, 1864.  Born in 1835 in Boston, Massachusetts, James was still living in that city when he joined the Navy. He served during the Civil War as a captain of the top and gun captain. James died in 1914.  https://valor.militarytimes.com/hero/1913.
