KWOCK BON WONG

Kwock Bon Wong, born on September 9th, 1920, in Canton, China, enlisted in the United States Signal Corps on September 16th, 1942. He served as a Staff Sergeant in Company A of the 988th Signal Service Battalion during his military service. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal on August 29th, 1944, and the Bronze Star Medal on November 6th, 1945. Kwock Bon Wong lived in Canton until he was 15 years old and then moved to Los Angeles. He worked in the produce industry, specifically for Chuck Produce. Additionally, he was a semi-skilled chauffeur and driver for buses, taxis, trucks, and tractors. Kwock completed two years of high school education. He rented his home that he lived in for $10 per month. Kwock Bon Wong passed away on March 10th, 1948, when he was 28 years old.
