Lt. Murphy you are an inspiration tor all and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace as you are a true American hero.

Thank you Lt. Murphy for your actions, incredible accomplishments, and inspirational strength of character. And thank you to his loved ones who are surely proud but have lost so much. You are not forgotten. I hope you feel his spiritual presence and love everyday.

“ Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends” (Jn. 15:13). We all know Murph as a brave warrior. His love for his brothers-in-arms and our country is truly inspirational.

Over this past weekend, and even as we go through Memorial Day itself, 10s of thousands of us will start and complete the "Murph" Challenge. During the past 20 years, so many of us have given so much, so often, it's hard to keep track sometimes. But it is a gift, and the sincerest reminder of Valor & Honor that a Military Service Member choose to sacrifice; and that every year and every time we take on the "Murph" he does it again, and we do too. A Lifetime of gratitude and giving won't amount to half of what this Man gave for us all, but I for one will keep living and keep giving!

Most Sincerely,
- SSG
