Washington Crossing National Cemetery

Paul was my cousin and we were quite close when we were young, but  unfortunately, lost touch as adults.  

Starting in grammar school, he was deeply interested in historical subjects and was a good artist.  His interest first turned to the Revolutionary War and he knew all the major players and was familiar enough with specific battles and the tactics that he drew pictorial diagrams of battles, showing row on row of appropriately uniformed soldiers and how they moved on the battlefield.  He would describe enthusiastically each battle in detail. 

Next, with the same technical and artistic intensity, he turned to the Civil War.  After that, it was World War II.  

As a child, he was slight but at some point, he decided to remedy that and began weight training, developing an impressive physique.  Regrettably, we lost regular touch, maybe because of lifestyle differences, but I always held him in high regard and loved him.
