SUN CITY, AZ - Rev. Ralph John Nagle, 77, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on 02 Feb 2021 at Banner Boswell Medical Center. Ralph was born on 11 Dec 1943 in Moline, IL to parents Charles Albertus Nagle and Pansy Ruth (Jones) Nagle.
 
Raised in Rock Island, IL, Ralph enlisted in the US Navy at age 17, in 1960. He went active duty at age 18 as an Electricians Mate Striker (E3) on board the USS Pocono AGC 16. In 1963, Ralph received his GED from United States Armed Forces Institute. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1966.
           
After his enlistment was complete, he spent much of his career as a self taught electronic technician, for companies such as Honeywell, Raytheon, General Electric, and Doughboy where he traveled the world. Later in life, he went on to study Pastoral Licensing at the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church, receiving his Pastoral License Certificate in 2005. He then served as head pastor to congregations throughout Wisconsin, and served as associate pastor in Atkinson, IL, until retiring to Arizona. In 2016, he fulfilled a lifelong dream to receive his Ham Radio “Technician” and “General” licenses (W9ADW), following in his father’s footsteps.
           
Ralph enjoyed ministry, photography, woodworking, cooking, HAM radio, model building, fly fishing, and British murder mysteries. He was active in Boy Scouts, receiving the Order of the Arrow early in life. He was also active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the West Valley Amatuer Radio Club (West Valley ARC) in the years prior to his passing.
           
Ralph is survived by his brother Charles Luther Nagle, his wife Mariellen (Bump) Nagle, his second wife Judith (Nacin) Nagle, his first wife Charlotte (Moore) York and their sons Richard Nagle and Caelyn Nagle. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Albertus Nagle, his mother Pansy Ruth (Jones) Nagle, his sister Betty Louise (Nagle) Gibson, and his brother Roland Roy Nagle.
