Indiantown Gap National Cemetery

Ricardo, or Ricky as most of his family and friends knew him was an extraordinary person. He was loving and kind, loyal and supportive, humble and quiet, positive and funny, always active and always eager to help another person. His desire to help others exceeded what most people would ever be willing to do, he thought nothing of driving long distances for someone, or waking up in the middle of the night to talk, or stopping what he was doing to assist the people he cared about. He served his country with honor and pride, and he served his community with the same uncommon commitment. He was a warm and very selfless person who accepted and embraced people for who they were and was very non-judgmental. He almost always had a smile on his face, and in the fourteen years that I knew him he never got angry or bitter, he was always focused on the positive. He loved to travel, specifically by driving, he also particularly enjoyed live music and other social engagements. He loved cars and knew more about them than what seemed humanly possible, and loved to ride his motorcycle. No tribute to him would be complete without mentioning how much he loved cats. His loss has been felt deeply and painfully by so many. He was and will forever remain immensely admired and lovingly adored by all of us who were lucky enough to know him. He was an incredible person with a beautiful soul. May he be remembered forever.
