Robert Wallace Hunt was born on March 19, 1933, in Lima, Wisconsin to Wallace Hunt and Florence Hunt (neé Hobbs). He had a brother named Stanley Robert Hunt. During his youth in Wisconsin, Hunt moved around throughout the state.

Hunt married his first wife, Anna Marie Olga Lee, in 1953, the same year he was first stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. Hunt was a Private in the Army. Although he did not serve in the Korean War, he is thought to have served in Korea from May 25, 1953, to August 10, 1955. Hunt also served in Vietnam from May 18, 1962, to February 27, 1964. Hunt was
honorably discharged from his service.

He eventually divorced Lee and married Della Morris in Lima on July 7, 1975. He would eventually move to Colorado and would move around the Denver-Aurora area. His final home address was 1430 N Humboldt Street in Denver, Colorado. Robert Wallace Hunt left this world on July 25, 2002, at the Denver Hospice.
