Born in LA, CA dad spent his younger years on a family ranch in western Montana, after loosing his parents.
Later he attended high school in LA, where he met mom. He worked in Los Angeles at a radio station for a time before joining the Bell Telephone Co. where he made his career, retiring from the company in Butte, MT.
We lived in So. CA. as a family, mostly in Glendora, enjoying the beach, Sunday drives, snowy visits to Mount Baldy, and later, a few years living in the desert.
We all enjoyed Christmastime, Fri. nights at Knott's Berry Farm and frequent visits to the Los Angeles County Museum. 
We often visited with mom and dad's friends from their highschool days, and their kids.
Later years, mom and dad, and independently, Sandra and Ronnie, moved to Montana. We all worked, collected antiques, and mom and dad volunteered time at the World Museum of Mining in Butte. Dad loved to play his piano at home. And...
3 of us attended college as well. 
After a short stint living in WA near Jeannie, mom and dad, dad now ill, returned to MT. where dad later died in Helena. He was 75.
As of 2024 mom age 91 lives in a care facility in Helena and is mostly okay.
Dad did not talk about his military years nor did he share much of his childhood memories. He worked. He cared for his wife and kids, always kind to all of us. He studied UFO sightings, played piano by ear, worked in his yards and on his cars, sometimes mine, liked to collect all kinds of things, liked to read, talk, take walks and drives and keep pets. He had 4 children and had 5 granddaughters. His great granddaughter was forming at the time he was dying, so they never met. 
I hope to meet up with my dad one day, on Mars.

Dad loved everything space, even UFO's........ We hope he's out there now, exploring. He has a Mars crater named after him: RP Station. This photo places him in a NASA lab "working" on a Mars rover.
