On December 2, 2012 at home at the age of 97. Born in Houston, Texas, he had a long and very interesting life. In 1937, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilberforce University where he was a member of the ROTC. He subsequently served as a World War II Tuskegee Airman liaison pilot and was a member of the 366th Infantry Regiment. 

While at Wilberforce he was elected to Who's Who and was Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He was a Life Member and remained active in the DC Alumni Chapter. He retired from a career with the US Postal Service after 30 years. As a 60 year member of Peoples Congregational Church he taught Sunday School and led the Trustee Board during the capital campaign for the new chapel.
