I am so proud of my Mom, Viola, for her service to our country and for the outstanding military wife and beloved mother she was. On of my most treasured memories is having the honor of being her guardian when she went on the Honor Flight in 2018 and we got to experience that together as mother and daughter. It was a very special day for us.

Thank you for sharing this memory of my Mom, Aunt Gladys. We kids would not have gotten to know our aunts and uncles or cousins had we not had those wonderful family reunions. I treasure looking at the photos of them all and remembering what fun we had together. Mom treasured her family and kept that Round Robin letter going for decades and she would share everyone's latest news with me so we kept up with everyone in between the reunions. That meant a lot to me.

Viola was a great, extremely dependable person.  She was the glue that held our family together when we were grown.  She planned many family reunions three years apart at various places around the United States.  These reunions kept us a closes knit family for which I am forever grateful.
